What Past Participants Say

Hear firsthand experiences from alumni of Bioinformatics Research Internship 3.0 (BRI 3.0) who mastered real computational pipelines.

CADD & Docking
★★★★★

"Before BRI 3.0, molecular docking seemed overwhelming. The hands-on training on AlphaFold structure prediction, AutoDock Vina, and ADMET profiling gave me the exact workflow to screen candidate compounds and interpret binding affinities with complete confidence."

Mahfuja AkterBRI 3.0 Alumna • Drug Design Track
Vaccine Design (CAVD)
★★★★★

"The Computer-Aided Vaccine Design module was exceptional. We went from B-cell and T-cell epitope mapping on IEDB to designing multi-epitope vaccine constructs, running C-ImmSim immune simulations, and conducting receptor docking step-by-step."

Eran HosenBRI 3.0 Alumnus • CAVD Track
Manuscript Writing
★★★★★

"The manuscript writing project was the true game-changer. Learning how to structure IMRaD sections, present computational docking results effectively, select indexed journals, and manage citations in Zotero directly turned our project into a publication-ready draft."

Samrin AkterBRI 3.0 Alumna • Publication Track

Content & Skills

Anyone with an interest in bioinformatics and life sciences: undergraduate, Master's, and PhD students from any life-science background (Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Genetic Engineering, Microbiology, and more), early-career researchers, and complete beginners.

No. A basic biology background and curiosity are enough. The program starts from the fundamentals and builds up to full research workflows step by step.

No. This internship is 100% tool-, database-, and software-based. You will not write a single line of code. Everything is done through ready-to-use web databases and user-friendly software.

You will work with widely used — and mostly free — web databases and software: NCBI, UniProt, PDB, AlphaFold, PubChem, ZINC, Swiss Drug Design, ADMETlab, ProTox, BIOVIA Discovery Studio, AutoDock Vina, SwissDock, STRING, Cytoscape, GeneCards, GEPIA2, UALCAN, GREIN, C-ImmSim, Gaussian, and more. The complete list with step-by-step access guides is shared before the internship begins.

No. Most of the tools run directly in your web browser. A normal laptop or desktop with a stable internet connection is all you need.

Just a computer, a stable internet connection, and your interest. Before the internship begins, you will receive a setup guide explaining how to access every database and software tool used in the course — most of them are free and run directly in the browser.

Each module ends with a hands-on deliverable — for example, an annotated sequence/database report, a docking and ADMET report, a compound–disease–target network diagram, a DFT analysis report, a multi-epitope vaccine workflow report, a cancer biomarker analysis report, and a draft manuscript section.

Outcomes & Certificates

Yes. Every participant who completes the internship receives a verified certificate of completion from BioPC Academy.

Yes. High-performing participants can be selected for Teaching Assistant (TA) and Research Assistant (RA) pathways, and consistent excellence can lead to permanent membership and involvement in real research projects and publications.
